New Firefighters Sworn In

| Today the Chambersburg Fire Department and the Borough of Chambersburg welcomed three new firefighters into our ranks. Firefighters Dylan Woosnam, Marshal "Neil" Stover and Matthew Birgfeld met with Mayor Bietsch to be officially sworn in to the department after being appointed at the Monday, February 22nd Town Council meeting. Firefighter Dylan Woosnam is from Shippensburg, Pa. Dylan currently volunteers with the Vigilant Hose Co. in Shippensburg. Firefighter Matthew Birgfeld is from Fort Loudon, Pa. Matt volunteers with the Vigilant Hose Co. of Shippensburg and was employed with MMPW Fire & EMS before coming to Chambersburg. Firefighter Marshal "Neil" Stover is from Waynesboro, Pa. Neil comes to Chambersburg after working for the Waynesboro Fire Dept. Firefighter's Woosnam, M. Birgfeld and Stover will start on March 2nd at the Harrisburg Area Community College Fire Academy for the next 9 weeks. |
