| CFD and surrounding departments were alerted for smoke inside a residence at 215 Mill Road just before 6:00 p.m. Crews
arrived to find moderate smoke conditions with high heat inside the single-family duplex. Further investigation revealed a fire inside the home in the hallway that was extinguished after
burning through a water pipe. Extensive smoke and heat damage throughout the house was noted. Command (Deputy Chief 1) held Company 1 and Squad 41 to open up and ventilate. Crews cleared
in around one hour.
