Tower 1 and Engine Company 1 was alerted around 9:00 a.m. to provide mutual aid for a working house fire at 56 West Main Street in Fayetteville. Engine 7-1
arrived to find a working attic fire with fire in the walls. Chief 1 assisted with fire attack while Tower and Engine crews assisted with ventilation and opening up. Crews were on scene for around two hours.
Second fire of the day came when Engine 1-1 was alerted around 2:00 p.m. to 6233 Mountain View Drive for a kitchen fire. Engine 15-1 arrived to find fire possibly out. Engine 1-1 arrived second and prepared to secure water supply. Crews found
that the fire was out upon arrival, and Chief 15 placed most units in service. Engine 1-1 cleared in around fifteen minutes.
