Just after 2:00 a.m., calls came into the 911 center reporting fire in the walls of a single-family home
at 1148 Stanley Avenue Extended. At 2:04 a.m., the box alarm was sounded for the house fire. Engine 1-2 and Chief 1 arrived to find a single story home with light smoke coming from
around the chimney. As crews entered the structure, they found fire in the walls that quickly progressed into the attic area. Quick work was done to extinguish the fire and keep it
from spreading to the rest of the living area of the home. The fire was brought under control in around twenty minutes. Crews had extensive overhaul and remained on the scene for two hours.
