Silo Fire at Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe

| As CFD members were conducting shift training, a box alarm was dispatched at 8:22 a.m. for a silo fire at Martin's Potato Roll factory in New Franklin Fire Department's first due. Engine 1-4 arrived first and laid out from the hydrant to the scene, and Engine 1-1 arrived as the second due engine and picked up the hydrant. Crews found a working fire in the machinery area of the silo. Units remained on scene for around one hour. |
