Shortly after 5:00 p.m., CFD and surrounding departments were alerted to the Summit Health Cancer Treatment Center, 260 North Seventh Street, for
smoke in the building. Assistant Chief 1 arrived to find normal conditions from the exterior of the building. Upon Engine 1-1's crew (Captain 1-4) initial investigation, a heavy haze and odor in the CT treatment room was
found. After investigating, a machine that molds plastic was left on, and burnt plastic left in it. The machine was shut off, and crews ventilated the building. After around one hour, crews went back in service.
