| An early afternoon call to the station reporting natural gas smell inside the structure sent the box assignment
for CFD. Engine 1-1 arrived along with Tower 1 to find a strong odor on all floors of the apartment complex at 1275 Progress Road. Borough Gas Department was requested to the scene. After
an extensive investigation, it was found that a screw, from a recent pipeline repair job, had been placed through the gas line. Crews remained on the scene ventilating all of the apartments
until around 5:15 p.m. |
