| At 11:30 p.m., CFD and surrounding departments were alerted for smoke in the Staple's Distribution Center at 1550 South Main
Street. Engine 1-4 and Duty 1 arrived to find normal conditions from the outside. Upon investigating, smoke conditions were found in the break room. Lines were stretched and the investigation
leader (DC 1) along with "D" shift and Squad 41 opened up the ductwork to find small areas of fire in several areas of the HVAC duct. Fortunately, the fire was contained and command (C1)
downgraded the box assignment. Crews cleared around 12:30 a.m. |
