Fayetteville Fire Department was alerted shortly after 3:00 a.m. for a reported house fire at 183 Greenleaf Road. This
box alarm sent Engine 1-1 out the door for mutual aid. Assistant Chief 7 (C. Bumbaugh) arrived shortly after dispatch to find smoke coming from eves and confirmed a working attic fire.
Engine 1-1 was the first to arrive and after securing a water supply they stretched a line and took first due responsibilities as fire attack. Engine 1-1 crew (C Shift) and a member from
Co. 7 made a quick hit on the fire. Command quickly downgraded the box and crews cleared after about an hour and a half. |
