Wednesday evening made for a busy evening for CFD crews. Several EMS calls kept the Ambulance on the street most the evening. Engine 1-1 was alerted for a multi-vehicle accident at the intersections of Norland Avenue and 5th Ave. Shortly after the accident was dispatched Engine 1-2 and Tower 1 was alerted for a fire alarm to the Franklin County Judicial Center. Tower 1 arrived and advised of a CO detector in the basement parking garage. Crews investigated and found a vehicle had been left running in the parking garage, creating a build-up of Carbon Monoxide. Crews utilized the garage ventilation system to clear the area and monitored the building to ensure no other concerns. Crews operated for 30 minutes before being placed in service by Chief 1.
