| Chambersburg Fire Department received their monthly report from HAAS Alert on the effectiveness of our Emergency alert system in our newest Engine. For the month of July 2022, 455 drivers were alerted of a Chambersburg Fire Department vehicle approaching them or them approaching a unit on an emergency scene. This total of drivers altered occurred over 48 different emergency incidents the department handled for the month. Each day the department is fortunate that we are able to provide drivers an early notification of an approaching fire truck or incident scene aids in slowing down, pulling over and detouring so that emergency responders can respond safely.
