CFD was alerted shortly after the shift change to 896 Ragged Edge Road, Fayetteville Fire Department's first due, for an appliance fire. Deputy Chief 47 arrived
shortly after dispatch to find a two story, large residence with light smoke showing from the basement. Engine 1-2 was the first engine to arrive and took first
due task. A line was laid from the entrance of the drive and Engine 43 picked it up. Deputy Chief 47 gave a second report saying that the fire was out and only a
smoke condition was present. Command held Engine 1-2, Engine 43, and Truck 42 and placed the remainder in service. Crews remained for around thirty minutes before
going in service. |
