| After more than five inches of rain hit the Chambersburg Area in less than a few hours, a call came out just after 11:00 p.m. for an outside investigation of smoke in the area of Staples Distribution. Directly before the arrival of units, County advised of reports of an RV fire next to a building beside the VFW on South Main Street. Chief 1 arrived at 1567 South Main Street and found a working RV fire next to the building and requested the commercial building assignment. After approximately twenty-minutes, crews brought the fire under control, and the box was held with Company 1 and Station 4. Remainder of the crews cleared the scene around 12:30 a.m. |
