CFD units and mutual aid were sent to the 400 block of MacInstosh Way for an appliance fire in an apartment building. Engine 1-2 arrived with smoke showing from the front of the building and stretched a crosslay. Engine 1-1 arrived and the crew stretched a back-up line while Capt. 1-3 began investigation. Asst. Chief 1 arrived and assumed Command, while Tower 1 arrived at Side A. Crews located a fire in the bottom of the oven, which was extinguished prior to FD arrival. Crews began to ventilate while Command cancelled all incoming mutual aid units. Crews operated for a little over 30 minutes before clearing the scene.
