Engine 1-2 and Engine 1-4 were sent as the initial assignment for a house on fire in the 3000 block of Parks Road. While enroute, Communications reported smoke from the house with fire visible. Tower 1 was alerted as well to replace units that failed. Company 1 units arrived on scene and were put to work, opening up the B side to access hidden fire. Crews assisted with fire attack in the crawl space, 1st floor and hidden void space under the roof. Crews operated for 2 1/2 hours before being placed in service by Command 17.
