Alarm Results in Commercial Fire at Big Lots

| As the annual CFD Appreciation Dinner was ready to begin, CFD transfer crews were alerted for a commercial fire alarm at Big Lots, 184 West Washington Street. As units were approaching the scene, a column of black smoke was seen from the rear of the building. The first arriving unit found a working fire on the loading dock. Crews worked quickly to contain the fire and prevented it from extending into the building. All units cleared in around one hour. |
