At 4:00 p.m., crews responded to 840 Fifth Avenue, Spirit Lutheran, for an inside investigation of an odor
of smoke. Units arrived to find a strong odor of what seemed like electrical in nature. It was noted that the area was
without power and the generator was running at the facility. The generator and power were shut off to the structure, and the
Borough Electric Department was requested to the scene. Upon their arrival, it was determined that a transformer had dropped a
phase in the electrical system causing an issue within the building. Maintenance arrived on scene and took over after fire crews
determined that nothing was on fire and no further issues were found. Units were released around 5:00 p.m.
