| At 2:07 p.m., CFD and surrounding departments were alerted for smoke inside a house at 940 Stouffer Avenue. Assistant Chief 49
arrived to find a multi-family dwelling with smoke in the basement. Engine 43 (transferred to New Franklin FD) was the first to arrive, and crews stretched a line to the basement. Engine 1-1's crew
arrived and stretched a back-up line to protect the steps. Upon investigation, fire was found in the door jamb and basement wall in the one apartment. Crews opened up the wall and checked for further
extension. All units remained on scene for around 1-1/2 hours before Command (C1) released the box.
