Engine 1-1 and Tower 1 responded as part of the first alarm assignment to the 6300 Block of Lincoln Way West for a house fire with entrapment. Initial reports were that possibly 4 people were trapped in the home. Company 18 units arrived with a working fire and advised 2 people visible from the second floor windows. Chief 1 arrived and assisted members from Company 18 in rescuing the two occupants. Engine 1-1 arrived and were advised to stretch a hoseline into the home to start fire attack. Tower 1 arrived and the crew were sent to the roof to complete vertical ventilation. Crews continued to operate as fire attack and with overhaul. Crews operated for almost 3 hours until they were placed in service by Command 18
