CFD units responded to Rachel Drive for an appliance fire that was reported to be out shortly after 2130 hrs. Engine 1-2 arrived with normal condition from the exterior. Crews from Engine 1-1 and Tower 1 arrived and began to investigate. Crews found a toaster oven on the exterior of the residence that had caught fire. The occupants advised it had started to smoke inside the home and they removed it. Tower 1 completed ventilation of the home while crews confirmed no extension to areas of the kitchen. Crews operated just under 30 minutes before Asst. Chief 1 placed units in service.
