CFD units and mutual aid were sent to the unit block of Cambridge Lane for a reported garage fire. As units were responding, Sgt 17 (New Franklin Fire) was on scene confirming a working fire. Asst Chief 1 arrived with smoke coming from the garage. Engine 1-4 arrived and advanced a crosslay into the home and knocked down any remaining fire. The incident was scaled back to Company 1 and Squad 41(Franklin Fire Co). Crews checked for extension and overhauled the garage area. Chambersburg Police, Electric and Water Departments assisted on the scene as well. Crews operated on scene for an hour and a half.
