Members complete Basic Ropes & Rigging

Members of Chambersburg Fire Dept and Letterkenny Fire Dept completed a 16 hour Basic rope & riggings course this past week. Members reviewed basics on ropes and setting up mechanical advantage systems. Crews also worked on setting up to retrieve injured people from down embankments and on top of buildings. Many of these scenarios are potential rescue situations that may occur in Chambersburg and having the quickest and safest methods are crucial to the best outcome of a patient.
