Units were alerted for a fire alarm activation at a laundromat in the 900 block of Wayne Ave. Engine 1-2 arrived and was met with an occupant reporting smoke in the building. Remaining CFD were alerted upon upgrading the assignment. Crews advance a hoseline to the front door while working to determine the source of the smoke. Crews located two overloaded washing machines that burnt the belts causing the smoke. Crews ventilated the building and made contact with the business owners before clearing the scene.
