At 1343 hrs. CFD units and mutual aide were alerted to the 100 block of Kennedy Street for a house fire with entrapment. During dispatch, HQ station units arrived on the scene, confirming fire visible on the 1st and 2nd floors with reports of people inside. Crews advanced a hoseline to begin extinguishing the fire while additional crews began an intensive search of the building. Searches were negative and later a patient was able to get themselves out as the fire department arrived. Crews quickly brought the fire under control and began opening up walls, locating hidden pockets of fire. Two occupants were transported due to injuries from the fire. Crews operated for 3 1/2 hours before clearing the scene.
