CFD units and mutual aid were sent to the 300 block of Stonegate Circle South for a reported garage fire. Enroute, Communications advised that occupant advised black smoke in their garage. Chief 1 arrived with smoke visible from the garage. Engine 1-1 arrived and advanced a hoseline into the home and prepared to make entry to the garage. Black smoke and limited visibility were found upon entering the garage. Crews quickly located a fire within a vehicle and extinguished it. Mutual aid crews arrived and began to assist with opening up the garage and checking for any extension of fire. The fire was contained to the vehicle and the garage has heat and smoke damage throughout. Fortunately the closed door from the garage limited smoke damage to the main part of the home. Crews operated for over an hour and a half before clearing the scene.
