Engine 1-1 assist with hay bales on fire

Just after 1000 hrs. Engine 1-1 was sent to the 1100 block of Swamp Fox Road for several hay bales on fire. Engine 1-1 arrived and positioned on the west side of the pile to provide exposure protection of other piles of hay bales. Crews were later reassigned to assist crews with wetting down areas to limit flare ups, until unburned bales were a safe distance. Command 17 placed Engine 1-1 in service after operating for over 3 hours.
