Engine 1-1 and Wellspan EMS were alerted to the intersection of Philadelphia Avenue and Commerce Street for a vehicle accident. While units were responding, Franklin County 911 received reports of possible entrapment and alerted Tower 1 as well. Asst. Chief 1 and Engine 1-1 arrived , finding two autos involved and the traffic lights at the intersection out. Crews determined there was no entrapment in the vehicle that struck the control module for the traffic lights but was worried about exiting. Crews assisted them with exiting the vehicle and assessed all occupants. No injuries were reported and Tower 1 and Wellspan EMS were placed in service. Crews operated for about 20 minutes, turning the scene over to Chambersburg Police and local fire police for traffic control.
